Premium
The premium version of the plugin adds several new features that aim to automate your unit's workflow. Premium features bring new features that built upon PERSCOM data, but aren't directly available in PERSCOM.io.
These premium features are:
Report In
Previously known as the "activity tracker", this module allows your staff to configure a period in which your members need to "report in" on the operations center. This will force your members to engage with your website more often, and while they're there, they are likely to go wander around and look at other content that has been posted. It's a way for you and your staff to monitor who's on top of their duties, and who is slacking. This module can be configured to send out warnings when members are about to lose their status. And will automatically assign the configured failure status if they failed to do so. When your member comes back and presses the button, their status will automatically be reverted to what it was before.
Operations
Weekly events is the life blood of any organized unit. The operations module is the best way to keep track of your unit's activity. Operations are a way to categorize your weekly events. For example, a WW2 campaign, a deployment to a certain map, a training exercise, squad drills,... are all examples of operations. Operations can individually be shown or hidden based on the user roles. So you can "assign" groups of people to operations through roles.
Then there are missions. These are the individual events. They have a start and end time, can be configured to automatically send a notification to everyone who is assigned to the operation they're in. Furthermore, you can enable if this mission should automatically create combat records in PERSCOM when the user attends the event.
Once a mission is completed, element leaders can submit an after action report for their element. Mark members present, excused or absent, and include a written debrief to recommend users for medals, highlight points of improvement,... .
Finally, the attendance of these after action reports are summarized on the attendance sheet. This sheet will show a grand overview of your unit's attendance and accountability. Reward those who are showing up consistently, or punish those who are absent once again.
Courses
This is a never before seen feature in the PERSCOM ecosystem. Courses are essentially the same as operations, but focus on qualifications and member progression.
Your command staff can create courses, which are somewhat similar to operations. They serve as a template for training events that result in users getting qualification records. You can define certain prerequisite requirements for students to take part. For example, a certain rank, or qualifications. And which qualifications can be achieved upon completion of the course.
Then your instructors can create classes within these courses. A class has a signup period, start and end dates, specific instructions that only apply to that class, defines how many slots there are for students and instructors, etc.
Students and instructors can sign up during the signup period. Students must have all the prerequisites to be allowed to partake in the class. Instructors must have a role that allows them to sign up as instructor. Those with permissions to edit classes can also manually add or remove students and instructors.
Once the course is completed. One of the instructors can submit a class report. Which gives the instructor the ability to assign a grade (pass, fail, no-show) to the user, and select which qualifications each student has earned during the course. After submitting the class report, depending on the course settings, qualification records will automatically be added to the students, and the instructors will also receive a service record indicating they instructed a class.
