    Good afternoon everyone,

It's coming up to a year since we released the premium version of the PERSCOM Integration plugin so I thought it might be a good idea to give you a roadmap of the plugin's future.

    2.2 Update

Firstly, the 2.2 Update is currently being worked on. The core focus of this update is an overhaul of the current mission interface with the goal of bring everything under one roof.

With this overhaul, you'll find it easier to:

    • View mission briefings, expected attendance, and after action reports in a single unified interface.
    • Quickly identify who's attending, and who's not.
      • Those that haven't RSVP, won't show.
    • Billet personnel with a roster-style layout, showing their assignment.

The other focus of the 2.2 update is the introduction of a dedicated discharge form. The goal is to make discharging a member from your unit as simple and clean as possible.

Previously, discharging someone required multiple steps across different areas of the plugin. With this update, we've streamlined the entire workflow into a single unified action. Just will out a form, and the system will take care of everything from updating records to assigning them into a unit of your choice with a position and status of your choosing.

    Promotion Points

Once the 2.2 update has been released, our focus will shift toward the addition of another major feature, Promotion Points.

Many of you may remember this system from the Invision Community version of PERSCOM, which unfortunately, never made it's way into perscom.io. Our goal is to not only bring it back, but modernise and expand it with a dedicated promotion points ledger.

This will be a single interface, giving leaders full control and visibility over progression with key features such as:

    • Analytics - Insights to help determine whether progression should be made easier or harder.
      • Points leaderboard.
      • Recent activity.
      • Daily, monthly, and yearly point trends.
    • Points decay
      • A flexible system that lets you define how inactivity or other criteria reduce points over time.
    • Automation
      • Automatic promotions, demotions, and awards triggered by point thresholds that you can set.
    • Adjustments
      • Customize how many points are gained or lost from qualifications, awards, and operation combat records.

This feature aims to give communities a more structured and transparent advancement system which reflects real performance and engagement.

Alongside the Promotion Points update, we look to include many small additions from our GitHub issues page including:

    • Making roster sorting customisable
    • Allowing admins to disable roleplay names

    Qualification, Rank, Award Categories

Qualifications, Ranks, and Awards have existed as a flat list with no way to structure or organise them. In a growing community that has extensive training pipelines, this quickly becomes cluttered and difficult not only to manage but to navigate.

We'll be looking to bring back full categorisation support, allowing you to group qualifications, ranks, and awards into categories that fit your community's structure. This will give communities far more control over how their systems are organised, whether that's separating infantry and aviation qualifications, grouping rank tiers, or organising awards into their respective branches.

    Alternate Positions RSVP

Not all communities use a fixed roster, some switch up positions for every mission. Our focus is to add the option in the Operations feature to allow for flexible positions, so when a user goes to submit their RSVP, they'll be asked what position they'd like to select.

    Progression and Equipment

By the end of 2026, we're looking to develop two major features of the plugin:

    Equipment

The focus of the Equipment feature would be to provide your communities with an approved equipment list, or more commonly known as Organizational Clothing Individual Equipment (OCIE for short). The goal of this is to provide an interface in a user's p-file that'll display the equipment they're approved to utilise, this equipment will have criteria that leaders can adjust depending on:

    • Qualification
    • Award
    • Rank
    • TIS/TIG
    • Operation Attendance
    • Position
    • Specialty

    Progression

The goal of the Progression feature is to give your community an engaging, rewarding, and highly visual interface that showcases each user's journey. This system is designed to highlight hard work, encourage growth within the community, and create an environment where advancement feels fun and meaningful.

While games such as ArmA offer immersive gameplay alongside Zeus controlled storytelling, there's only so much long-term progression a game can provide on it's own which is where this system comes into play.

Progression aims to extend the longevity of a member's time in the community by giving them something deeper to work toward outside of operations and events. With structured tiers, unlockable pathways, and a visual progression tree, members gain a sense of growth and purpose that continues even when they're not on the battlefield.

The system will allow users to:

    • See their development at a glance through an interactive visual interface
    • Advance through tiers and pathways with understanding on what they've completed and what still stands
    • Participate in friendly competition, comparing their progression with others
    • Move at their own pace
    • Feel rewarded and recognised

I hope you're as excited as we are for what's coming over the next year. This plugin exists because of your support, ideas, and passion for building immersive communities and we couldn't do any of this without you. If you've got suggestions for features you'd love to see added, please head over to the Suggestion Box forum and create a thread with [PERSCOM] in the title. I would love to dive into discussions with you all on how we can continue to improve and expand the plugin.
