I wasn't sure which forum to place this in, but has anyone found any best practices for using documents in PERSCOM? I'd love to have a library that shows the documents, or are others bypassing the document element and making a forum category for their forums?
I do like using the documents in perscom as it allows us to attach them in our reports
While I can understand your confusion in wanting to use documents as a stand-alone feature, documents in PERSCOM have always been there for attaching to records, that's how they have functioned since the early days when PERSCOM was just an Invision Community plugin. They're not meant to be used for documentation or anything like that.
Units that want to show documentation on their websites use various different methods, usually a combination of CMS pages and/or forums. For example documentation for administrative tasks is often done in that admin unit's dedicated forum where only they have access, while things like SOPs and unit procedures/policies are structured more like about us pages using the CMS system.

Ahhh I see.
Thank you, sorry for the confusion, still understanding the full scope of PERSCOM and the plugin here.
